The transaction, estimated to be between 1.1 and 1.3 billion Euros, marked a significant milestone in the company’s history. However, due to the market crash of 2008, control of Bavaria Yachts was transferred to US private equity investors Anchorage Advisors and Oaktree Capital Management in October 2009.

However, on 16 September 2018, Capital Management-Partners GmbH (CMP) stepped in as the new financial investor and officially acquired Bavaria Yachts. The company’s future seemed uncertain until a last-minute purchase contract was signed, ensuring the revival and continuity of Bavaria Yachts.
